TiVo Remote Control
The TiVo remote control pictured on the right has a unique design which has a distinct peanut shape. This design moves away from the standard rectangle remote with columns of buttons. The TiVo remote control design has generally been well received by consumers.
The design of the TiVo remote control has been imitated by other manufacturers and has had a substantial impact on the future designs of remote controls. This device converts your TiVo remote from an IR remote to a RF remote meaning you can control your TiVo from up to 100 feet away without line of sight. Whereas the standard IR TiVo remote control works only over a short distance the signal can easily be blocked by obstacles.
